Dylon Hand Dye for Fabrics, 50 g
Founded in London in 1946, the Dylon brand has spent decades helping people refresh tired clothes and cherished home textiles simply and beautifully.
About this product:
- DYLON fabric dyes for hand use are perfectly suited for smaller items like shorts, vests, or socks, and for delicates you'd rather not put in the machine — such as wool and silk;
- Excellent, long-lasting, and intense colour results on natural fabrics — linen, cotton, and viscose;
- Please note: you'll need 250g of ordinary salt for the dyeing process.
How to use:
- Weigh your dry fabric and wash it thoroughly. Leave it damp;
- Wearing rubber gloves, dissolve the dye in 500ml of warm water;
- Fill a bowl or stainless-steel sink with approximately 6 litres of warm water (40°C);
- Stir in 250g (10 tablespoons) of salt. Add the dye and mix well;
- Submerge the fabric in the water;
- Stir for 15 minutes, then stir regularly for a further 45 minutes;
- Rinse the fabric in cold water. Wash in warm water and dry away from direct heat and sunlight.
Important: Follow the instructions closely. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area of fabric or a spare swatch before use.
