Description
Fabriano Cromia Fine Art Paper, 220 gsm
Fabriano is an Italian manufacturer with a legacy dating back to 1264, making it one of the oldest and most influential paper mills in the world. The distinctive Cromia line is made using traditional mould-made (cylinder mould) technology, giving the paper authentic handmade qualities and a rich colour palette designed for artists.
Key features:
- 50% cotton composition – the blend of cotton and alpha-cellulose creates a soft, even paper texture, highly resistant to scratches, tearing, and repeated erasing;
- Fully versatile – works beautifully with dry media (pastel, coloured pencil, graphite, charcoal) as well as wet techniques – ink, pen, and light washes of watercolour or gouache;
- Archival quality – made without acids or optical brighteners (per the ISO 9706 Long Life standard), the paper resists yellowing over time and preserves colour vibrancy;
- Two deckled edges – each sheet has two naturally uneven (deckled) edges, giving the artwork an elegant, handmade feel;
- Cold press texture – the gently textured surface resembles classic cold press watercolour paper, ensuring excellent pigment adhesion.
